The Westminster Organ Concert Series begins its 38th season on Friday, September 29, at 7:30 pm, with a recital by organist Annette Richards. Richards is Professor of Music and University Organist at Cornell University, as well as director of the Westfield Center for Keyboard Studies. A scholar as well as performer, she has both recorded and written about German music of the eighteenth century. Her program, “In the Shadow of Martin Luther,” includes music by J. S. Bach, Dietrich Buxtehude, Melchior Schildt, and Johann Kuhnau. The concert is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception. For more information, click here.
