Looking for a place to call home and learn more about what it means “to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8) If you find yourself answering “yes” to any of these questions, then come to one or all of the following new member classes that will be offered during the month of March. All classes will be on Sunday mornings at 9:45 in Room 208
March 15
What is Westminster? In this class, Ken Henry will be talking with class members about the meaning of membership as well as the various ministries at Westminster Pres. Through handouts and discussion, attendees should leave this one hour class with a greater appreciation of how the church is organized to carry out its mission and purpose in the world.

What is Our Mission? In this class, Dorothy Piatt along with other church leaders will talk about our benevolence giving, our commitment to other non-profit organizations in Charlottesville, and how our church feels called to reach out to UVA faculty and students.

What is A Presbyterian? We are a congregation in the Presbyterian Church(USA). Being Presbyterian means being part of The Reformed tradition. For hundreds of years, our motto has been “Reformed and Always Reforming.” If you would like to learn more about the history of the Presbyterian Church, please plan to attend this class. Ken will give a lecture on the roots of the Protestant Reformation and the emergence of the Presbyterian Church in America.
