For Families and Children

Our littlest ones (newborn to 2 years old) are lovingly cared for during the church school and worship by our paid nursery staff, supplemented by loving volunteers

Children’s Classes

All children’s classes use the “Seasons of the Spirit” curriculum in which children explore the same themes and Biblical texts that are explored in worship that day. The two-fold goal is that they be introduced to the breadth of the church’s faith and be prepared to participate more fully in worship each week. Bible stories, singing with a visiting minstrel each week, art activities, dramatic play and games fill the class time. To the curriculum we add our goal that children participate in as many phases of the life of the church as possible. So children’s classes collect Lenten offerings in fish boxes, help prepare to host homeless folks for PACEM, decorate for and host occasional fellowship hours, and participate in all church events such as the Advent Workshop and Worship in the Courtyard.
