On Tuesday, November 8th, 2016, 9:00-5:00, Westminster Presbyterian Church’s sanctuary will be open for prayer and personal meditation. There will be no formal prayer or worship service during these hours, but if you would like to stop by during the day to offer a prayer for our nation as we vote for a new president, the doors will be unlocked. Or maybe you simply need a moment of quiet reflection for an hour. Regardless of your motive, all are welcome.
Okay, here’s the rub!
Over the course of two and half weeks, Heather and I will be meeting with WPC folks at different designated sites with the simple agenda of getting to know one another. At these gatherings, Heather and I will share some of the reasons why we felt God called us to pack our bags and come all the way to Charlottesville, VA and hopefully, you will share your own reasons for being here. Here’s what the schedule looks like:

We are delighted that you have been attending Westminster Presbyterian Church. Now, it is time to consider the next step. In this Adult Education series, we will explore together what it means to be Presbyterian and participate in this faith community. We will spend time listening, learning, and discerning. So whether you are ready to become a member or simply want to know more about what Presbyterians believe, bring your questions and plan to attend any or all the classes listed below:

Just letting you know that I will begin teaching new member classes on October 23, 30, and Nov. 6 & 13. (2016!) We will be meeting in the library at 9:45 am. Coffee will be provided and all are welcome. FYI, these classes will center around what it means to be a Presbyterian in the 21st century. So, if you want to become a member, want to learn about Presbyterian history and governance, or simply want to hang around some cool people, please plan to attend!
