Stalwart hikers come rejoice in our beautiful creation on this rigorous hike at the Nature Conservancy’s Fortune’s Cove Preserve in the Blue Ridge Mountains. To avoid overwhelming the trail, group size is limited to less than 20 hikers. All ages welcome, but hikers need to be able to hike 5.5 miles and tolerate a steep climb (about 1,500′ elevation gain).
We’ll meet off US 29 in North Garden at Dr. Ho’s parking lot (4916 Plank Road) at 9:00 AM, then carpool to trailhead. We’ll be on the trail for about 4 hours. Pack a lunch. Bring plenty of water. There are no restrooms.
