Mark Your Calendars – Tuesday, February 13th at 6:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Lots of fun, food, fellowship, and even a magician.
See you there!
In case of snow, sleet, or freezing rain, we will air any cancellation on local radio and TV stations. Bear in mind that there are Westminster Presbyterian Churches in many other cities—including Waynesboro, Lynchburg, and Richmond. Please be sure you hear the announcement for Westminster in Charlottesville.
In addition, our website will have up-to-date information: www.westminsterva.org. Any weather-related changes to the worship schedule or other activities will be posted on the main page of our website.
The church’s voicemail message will also announce any cancellations due to inclement weather. People who have specific responsibilities—like church school teachers, ushers, musicians, sound system engineers—should check one of the above resources if there is inclement weather.
We hope we won’t be having inclement weather on Sundays, but please keep this information in mind if bad weather comes our way on the weekend.
Session will adopt our church budget at its January 14th meeting. To the many of you who have responded to our call, we offer our heartfelt thanks. To the small but mighty faction of those who have yet to respond, we ask that you please take a moment over the Christmas season to reflect on how you can financially support the many programs and missions that Westminster offers to this worship community and to the larger community around us. Your pledge will allow us to provide a full program of Christian witness and spiritual support to a world in need. Thank you for your kind consideration. Peace, love, hope and joy to you all.
If you have not already returned your 2018 pledge card, please either visit the Giving
Tab (HERE) on the Church Website where you can submit an electronic pledge or print a pledge card to mail in. Please remember to mark your envelope confidential.
Westminster Stewardship Committee
Last Sunday a group of about 25 people gathered in the Fellowship Hall to go out into neighborhoods to carol. We split into three groups, two went to Westminster Canterbury and one went to the Colonnades and nearby church members. In all, we made 14 caroling stops and spread unmeasurable joy. Jackie Brownfield hosted our last stop with food for the hard working carolers. Thank you to Jackie for her hospitality, and to Carolyn Kelly for her help organizing the Westminster Canterbury visits.
