J2A Field Trip!!! As part of their unit on “Spirituality,” the J2A class is exploring different ways to connect with something beyond and within themselves. They have been discussing different spiritual practices (mediation, prayer, silence, time in nature, etc.) and discussing the nuanced difference/similarities of faith vs. religion vs. spirituality. As part of their exploration of this topic, they are planning to attend the TJ Unitarian Universalist Worship Service at 11:15 am THIS SUNDAY. Class will still meet together at regular church school time/place at 9:30 am. Then, they will walk over to the Thomas Jefferson Unitarian Church together; returning to the WPC Fellowship Hall immediately following the end of the Unitarian worship service. Parents, please email or text the teachers to let them know if your youth will be attending.
Mission Trip Opportunity for 2018: After the 11:00 service on Sunday Nov. 19, in the Library, there will be an initial meeting for folks who may be interested in going on an intergenerational 2018 Border Mission Delegation Trip with Frontera de Cristo being planned for May. If you cannot attend this meeting, but are interested in receiving more information, please let Brittany Caine-Conley or Gene Locke.
