A new chapter of the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy is forming in Charlottesville!
Our group began meeting during the summer and has so far focused on building a living wage certification program that will bring attention and movement to struggles of our lowest paid workers. Our work on this project continues. As our group grows, however, our hope is that we can expand our focus beyond living wage by regularly reminding our state delegates and senators of other struggles in Virginia, hosting local events to educate the voting public, and working to bring about compassionate policies here in Virginia.
Please join us at our next meeting:
Friday, January 19th from 1:30 to 3:00
First United Methodist Church, Room 208
101 East Jefferson Street, Charlottesville
Please contact Kim Crater () with any questions.
