Westminster Presbyterian Church Ushering
Ushering attendees at Westminster church services on Sunday mornings
Important Ushering Information
As an Usher Volunteer at a church service, you have a simple way to help Westminster Presbyterian, through meeting and greeting church members and visitors. A new volunteer is assigned to one of eight (8) Westminster Usher Volunteer Teams whose members are contacted periodically through email or phone by their respective Captains.
Upon deciding to become an Usher Volunteer, you can specify your preference for serving with an assigned Head Usher at the 8:30 AM or 11 AM Sunday church service. Also, you will receive a 1-page summary of Usher Instructions.
In the course of a year, you will be contacted approximately three times by your Usher Team Captain as to your availability for one of his or her two assigned Sundays. You are under no obligation to take on an usher assignment if the involved Sunday(s) conflicts with your other plans/commitments.
If you have an interest in ushering more frequently than possibly three times during a year, you can become one of the more frequent Westminster Usher Volunteers who may be contacted as to availability for an occasionally unfilled slot by all eight (8) Team Captains for their assigned Sundays. Also, if you have an interest in becoming a Westminster Head Usher, you will be assisted through a 1-page summary of instructions.
To become a Westminster Usher Volunteer, please fill out the form and submit to Saunders Midyette, Usher Coordinator by email (smidyette@embarqmail.com) or contact him by telephone (293-5410).
