Lectio Divina Prayer Group

For well over a thousand years Christians, including Presbyterians, have followed the ancient practice of praying the Scriptures.  The process of doing so has historically been called Lectio Divina – “sacred reading.” Lectio involves hearing some verses of Scripture read, sitting in silence, and then sharing the insights that have leapt up from our hearts. Sometimes instead of a Bible reading we use a hymn we have or will sing in worship or one of the affirmations of faith used in worship.

The group meets in the evenings the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 7:30 to 9:00 in the Lower Lounge.  All are welcome to come join us. For more information speak with either Stephen Pfleiderer or Judy Rassi or contact the church office.
